Russian army confiscates farmers’ grain, Ukrainian defenders repel over 100 attacks – AFU General Stuff's situation update
Russian invading forces confiscate grain in the occupied territories of Zaporizhzhia region under the guise of buying it at significantly reduced prices. The Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed the Buk missile system, the Zoopark radar and repelled more than 100 Russian attacks.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the morning report on March 8.
The General Staff reports that in the village of Ulyanivka, Vasylivka district, temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhzhia region, grain crops from nearby farms in the district are being brought to a local hangar by order of the so-called Russian occupation administration.
The occupiers simply confiscate the grain under the guise of buying it at significantly reduced prices.
Russian troops unsuccessfully tried to attack in several directions, but the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled more than 100 attacks
Russian invaders are focusing their main efforts on the offensive in the Kupiansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Vuhledar directions. They continue unsuccessful offensives in the areas of Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Dubovo-Vasylivka, Bakhmut, Kamianka, Avdiivka and Maryinka in Donetsk region.
Yesterday, March 7, Ukrainian defenders repelled over 100 enemy attacks in these areas.
The enemy launched 24 air and 1 missile strikes against Ukraine over the last day
Enemy forces conducted 24 air strikes and 1 missile strike. The enemy used 1 Shahed-136 UAV. It was shot down.
Russians also fired more than 60 times from multiple launch rocket systems.
Situation in different directions
The operational situation in Northern and Northeastern Ukrainian borders remained unchanged. No enemy offensive groups were detected. At the same time, the enemy continues to keep its units near the state border of Ukraine.
Over the past day, the enemy fired mortar and artillery shells near 2 settlements in Chernihiv region; 6 in Sumy region and 18 settlements in Kharkiv region.
On the Kupiansk and Lyman directions, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensives in the direction of 6 settlements.
They shelled with artillery near 5 settlements in Kharkiv region, 5 in Luhansk region and 4 in Donetsk region.
In the Bakhmut direction, the enemy continues to storm the city of Bakhmut, despite significant losses. The enemy also conducted unsuccessful offensives in the vicinity of 6 localities.
Over the past day, Russian troops made more than 30 unsuccessful attacks near Orikhovo-Vasylivka alone. They fired from artillery near 10 localities including Bakhmut.
In the Avdiivka and Vuhledar directions,
Russians made more than 20 attacks near Marinka alone. Over 25 localities came under enemy fire, including Avdiivka and Vuhledar.
In the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, the enemy is on the defensive. They shelled the areas of more than 30 settlements in Zaporizhzhia region, as well as the city of Kherson, areas which are near the contact line.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed Buk and Zoopark radars and hit the occupiers' concentration areas
On March 7, the aviation of the Defense Forces carried out 7 strikes on the areas of Russian occupiers' concentration.
Ukrainian defenders also shot down an enemy Orlan-10 unmanned aerial vehicle.
Ukrainian missile and artillery specialists destroyed 1 Buk-M1-2 anti-aircraft missile system, 5 areas of enemy manpower concentration, 3 fuel and lubricant depots, and 1 Zoopark radar reconnaissance and control system.
