Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this in a video address to world leaders recorded in the destroyed printing house in Kharkiv, which was recently attacked by Russian troops.
“Right now, these days, we are defending ourselves 60 kilometers northeast of this place from another Russian offensive attempt,” the president said.
According to him, Russia is gathering another grouping of troops near the border with Ukraine to launch an offensive.
“Russia is preparing for an offensive, and 90 kilometers northwest of here (from Kharkiv - ed.), another grouping of troops is gathering near the Ukrainian border. The one who is doing all this does not want peace,” Zelenskyy emphasized.
- Earlier, the President reported that the operation launched by the Russian army on May 10, 2024, in the northeast of Kharkiv region, where the state border was broken and several Ukrainian villages were occupied, caused disproportionate human losses to the aggressor.
