Zelenskyy sets task to deplete Russian army in Kurakhove, Pokrovsk directions
On September 9, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy heard a report from the Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi on the situation in the Donetsk region
He announced this in his evening briefing.
"Today, there was a detailed military report by Commander-in-Chief Syrskyi. First of all, it focused on the Donetsk area. I thank all our units on the frontline who ensure the full implementation of tasks and steadfastly repel Russian assaults while restoring our positions. This is important," the president noted.
According to him, the Ukrainian Defence Forces have the crucial task of destroying as much enemy manpower as possible.
"The Pokrovsk direction, Kurakhove direction—this is where the Russian army should lose as much combat capability as possible," Zelenskyy stressed.
