"The situation in the Pokrovsk sector is really complicated and tense. The enemy is constantly attacking, trying to advance. The occupying Russian troops pay a high price for each step, losing many soldiers and equipment. The Russians are using everything they have. Yesterday they attacked on motorbikes, today they attempted an assault near Krasnohorivka on three armored personnel carriers, which were destroyed. This active phase has been going on for more than three months," emphasized Tsehotskyi.
- Since the beginning of the day on August 1, 127 combat engagements took place in the frontline. Russian troops continue to attack the Pokrovsk direction the most.
- Ruslan Mykula, co-founder and analyst of the DeepState project, noted that the most difficult situation remains in the Pokrovsk sector, where Ukraine has lost a lot of territory.
- Ivan Kyrychevskyi, a military expert at Defense Express, believes that if Russia is stopped in the Pokrovsk direction, it will be forced to reduce its ambitions.
