Ukraine's Kupyansk direction lacks three basic things - Major Omelyan
Ukrainian Major Volodymyr Omelyan says that in the Kupyansk sector there is a lack of proper fortifications, personnel, and ammunition to match the weapons available to Ukrainian units
He spoke about this on Espreso TV.
“I was in the Kupyansk direction until August 24, and we saw clearly that we lacked three basic things - proper fortifications, personnel, and ammunition for the weapons that are available. I do not know what has been done about it. I don't see mass production of Ukrainian weapons of any type at Ukrainian facilities. I do not see that we have drawn conclusions from the mobilization. We seem to have launched this process late, but so far I have not seen any new recruits, at least in the ranks of my battalion or brigade, for this entire period of time, until the end of August,” the Ukrainian Armed Forces major said.
According to him, it is impossible to fight without people and weapons.
“I am glad that the Commander-in-Chief is now in the Eastern direction, it shows the priority. I am sure that the Supreme Commander-in-Chief must understand all the risks, not only military, but also political and economic, if we lose Donbas. Therefore, I hope that we will make every effort, but these efforts have a clear price - the lives of Ukrainian soldiers, who have to pay with their lives for the lack of ammunition, destruction means, which include electronic warfare devices, drones and everything else,” summarized Volodymyr Omelyan.
- Since the beginning of the day on August 30, 109 combat clashes have taken place at the front, 36 of them in the Pokrovsk sector.
