Vance: If Putin stalls on peace, U.S. should say 'this is not our war'

Vance warned that if Russia "willing to engage" then "eventually, the U.S. has to say this is not our war".

According to the U.S. Vice President, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin "does not seem to know how to get out of the war."

"We realise there's a bit of an impasse here. And I think the president's going to say to president Putin: 'Look, are you serious? Are you real about this?'" Vance added.

• On May 17, U.S. President Donald Trump announced that on Monday, May 19, he would have a phone call with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, followed by a call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
