Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy mentioned this in an interview with ABC.
President Zelenskyy said Ukraine “has big problems” with Shahed drones, which attack the country every day. He added that Ukraine is fighting back and will find all the tools needed to destroy them.
“But we found one thing. And we decided with, I think it was like, yeah, with — during previous administration — it was the Minister Austin, Minister of Defense Austin, yes, and he — and we decided for one project, and we counted on 20,000 between us — 20,000 missiles, anti-Shahed missiles," said the President of Ukraine, adding that this morning, Ukraine’s Defense Minister Rustem Umerov informed him that the U.S. had transferred these missiles to the Middle East.
- Earlier, The Wall Street Journal reported that the administration of U.S. President Donald Trump redirected special missile fuzes to American troops, which Ukraine uses to shoot down Russian drones.
