Commander of the Tavria operational and strategic grouping of troops Oleksandr Tarnavskyi said this.

Over the past day, the Russian troops conducted 45 airstrikes, 935 artillery attacks and 81 kamikaze drone strikes in the operational zone.

"There were 43 combat engagements. In the Avdiivka sector, the defense line in the areas of Tonenke, Orlivka and Berdychi was stabilized. Russian offensive attempts in the areas of Novomykhailivka and Robotyne were unsuccessful," Tarnavskyi wrote.

The brigadier general said that the Russians had lost 347 people, a tank, 7 armored combat vehicles, 4 artillery systems, ATGMs, and 5 vehicles. 255 enemy drones were neutralized or shot down. The Ukrainian Defense Forces also destroyed 1 ammunition depot.

11 Russian soldiers were captured.

  • On February 26, Dmytro Lykhoviy, a spokesman for the Tavria unit, said that the Ukrainian Armed Forces had withdrawn from the village of Lastochkyne, 6 km from the temporarily occupied Avdiivka in the Donetsk region, and were reinforcing the defense line to prevent the enemy from advancing.
  • On the same day, Lykhoviy said that Russia continues to try to advance towards Orlivka from three directions, but is not successful. Russian aviation and artillery are turning fortifications and villages into ruins, so sometimes the Ukrainian Armed Forces are forced to withdraw.
  • On February 27, Ukrainian troops withdrew from the villages of Sieverne and Stepove near Avdiivka.
