The Ukrainian Defense Forces have struck three Lukoil drilling rigs in the Caspian Sea
The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff reported the information.
The strikes targeted the rigs named after V. Filanovsky, Yuri Korchagin, and Valery Grayfer.
"These facilities are involved in supporting the invading Russian army. Hits have been confirmed. The extent of the damage is being determined," the General Staff noted.
Additionally, the Defense Forces conducted a strike on a Buk-M3 surface-to-air missile launcher in the area of the village of Baranycheve (temporarily occupied territory of Luhansk region).
This medium-range air defense system is designed to engage aerodynamic targets.
"According to preliminary data, hits and explosions have been confirmed," the General Staff reported.
Furthermore, in order to reduce Russia's logistical and combat capabilities, a strike was carried out on a logistics depot belonging to a unit of the 49th Army in the area of the village of Novotroitske (temporarily occupied territory of Kherson region).
- On the night of December 19, Ukraine's Defense Forces successfully struck a Russian naval vessel, Project 22460 Okhotnik, as well as a drilling platform at an oil and gas field in the Caspian Sea.
