Ukrainian forces hit key oil depot in Russia's Orel region
On the night of Saturday, December 14, Ukrainian forces struck the Stalnoy Kon linear production dispatch station (LPDS) in Russia's Oryol region
Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff reported.
Stalnoy Kon is one of the largest oil product terminals in the suburbs of Oryol, in the Russian Federation. LPDS is part of the Russian military-industrial complex, which supplies oil products to the Russian army.
According to the General Staff, a massive fire broke out on the territory as a result of the attack.
Earlier, the governor of the Oryol region, Andrey Klichkov, said that the night in the region was turbulent. An alleged drone attack caused a fuel fire at an infrastructure facility.
“The fragments of the downed drones damaged the windows of several private houses. Operational services are at the scene and are taking measures to eliminate the consequences of the Russian attack. There are no casualties or injuries,” he wrote.
At the same time, Russian Telegram channels report a fire at an oil depot as a result of a UAV attack.
Also, the governor of the Krasnodar Territory, Veniamin Kondratiev, reported the alleged downing of the drones. He accused Ukraine of the attack.
“Last night, drones were destroyed in many municipalities of the region, and the Kyiv regime tried to attack civilian objects in Kuban again,” he wrote.
