This was confirmed by Dmytro Lykhoviy, spokesman for the Tavria operational and strategic group of troops, on Espreso TV.
In particular, he noted that this is a ‘massive target’.
‘For yesterday, we confirm the destruction of a ‘very fat target’ - a Kasta-2E2 radar station near the village of Zelenivka, Zaporizhzhia region. It is part of the process of knocking out the Russian air defense and radar system, clearing the sky for our aircraft. And now, after such a significant reduction of Russian anti-aircraft missile systems, we confirm the destruction of the modern Kasta-2E2 radar station, which is actually the eyes of the Russian air defense system on a very large section of the frontline,’ said Lykhoviy.
- On Saturday, August 17, Ukrainian aviation destroyed the second Russian bridge in the Kursk sector. It is likely to be located in the village of Zvannoye, Glushkovsky district, Kursk region, Russia, and stretches across the Seim River.
