Ukrainian artillery halts Russian troops near Khromove - 26th Artillery Brigade

"Russian troops are continuously launching assaults in the Bakhmut direction. They are trying to advance towards Chasiv Yar. Fighting continues near Klishchiivka, Khromove and Ivanivske. It was near Khromove that Ukrainian artillery fended off an enemy counterattack, destroying some Russian personnel and 4 armored vehicles. The occupiers are using various artillery - mortars, cannon artillery, MLRS. The enemy is also trying to use aviation in this area, launching guided aerial bombs," noted Kalashnikov.

The spokesman for the 26th Artillery Brigade also added that Russian forces are constantly trying to advance on the southern flank of the Bakhmut direction.

"The Russians manage to advance somewhere, and then we push them back. The situation there is ambiguous. The enemy keeps trying to capture Klishchiivka because it opens access to the dominant height near Bakhmut. The Russians have priorities, they want to close the southern flank of Bakhmut to concentrate on Chasiv Yar. However, they are not succeeding, fierce fighting continues," emphasized Kalashnikov. 

• Over the past day, Ukrainian troops repelled attacks in 8 sectors, most of them in Avdiivka. The Ukrainian Armed Forces also eliminated 950 Russian soldiers.
