Ukrainian army destroys 950 Russian soldiers, 54 artillery systems, 33 UAVs - General Staff

Over the past day, Ukrainian troops repelled Russian attacks in 8 sectors, most of them in the Avdiivka sector, killing 950 soldiers

The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff reported this on February 15.

The total combat losses of the Russian Federation from 24.02.22 to 15.02.24 are approximately:

  • artillery systems - 9,620 (+54)

Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled at least 40 Russian attacks in the Avdiivka sector

The operational situation has not changed in the area of the northern Ukrainian border with Belarus.

In the northeastern border area, the Russian army maintains a military presence, conducts active sabotage activities to prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to threatened areas, and increases the density of minefields along the state border in the Belgorod region.

In the area of responsibility of the Khortytsia operational-strategic group in the Kupyansk direction, the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled a Russian attack near Ivanivka, Kharkiv region.

In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian troops repelled an attack near Terny, Donetsk region, where the Russian troops tried to break through the Ukrainian army's defense.

In the Bakhmut direction, the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled four attacks near Bohdanivka, Ivanivka, and Klishchiivka in the Donetsk region, where the Russian army was trying to improve its tactical position.

In the area of responsibility of the Tavria operational-strategic group in the Avdiivka direction, Ukrainian defenders are holding back the Russian soldiers, who keep trying to surround Avdiivka. Ukrainian servicemen are steadfastly holding the line, inflicting significant losses on the invaders.Thus, the Defense Forces repelled 34 enemy attacks near Avdiivka and another 6 attacks near Sieverne and Nevelske in the Donetsk region over the past day.

In the Marinka direction, Ukrainian troops are holding back the Russian army near Krasnohorivka, Pobieda, and Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region, where the enemy tried to improve the tactical situation more than 20 times.

In the Shakhtarsk direction, the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled an attack by the occupants south of Zolota Niva in the Donetsk region.

In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled three Russian attacks west of Verbove and Robotyne.

In the area of responsibility of the Odesa operational-strategic group in the Kherson direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces are holding their positions and repel the Russian army's assaults. Despite significant losses, Russia continues to try to drive Ukrainian units from their positions. Thus, over the past day, it launched 7 unsuccessful assault operations.

Russian army launched 4 missile attacks and 106 airstrikes against Ukraine

Over the past day, 83 combat engagements took place. In total, Russia launched 4 missile strikes, 106 airstrikes, and 95 attacks with multiple launch rocket systems at the Ukrainian troops’ positions and populated areas.

This morning, the Russian troops launched another massive missile attack on Ukraine using strategic aviation. Air alert has been raised across the entire territory of the country.

The following areas were hit by airstrikes: Novosadove, Riznykivka, Kuzminivka, Rozdolivka, Ivanivske, New York, Oleksandropil, Novooleksandrivka, Novokalynove, Ocheretyne, Novobakhmutivka, Orlivka, Lastochkyne, Kostiantynivka, Vodiane, and Vuhledar in the Donetsk region; Mala Tokmachka and Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia region.

Over 100 settlements in the Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Kherson, and Mykolaiv regions came under artillery fire.

Ukrainian Defense Forces destroyed 5 artillery pieces and 3 munitions depots

Over the past day, Ukrainian aviation struck 10 Russian manpower concentration areas and 3 anti-aircraft missile systems.

The missile troops struck 6 manpower concentration areas, 5 artillery facilities, 3 ammunition and fuel and lubricants depots, and 3 electronic warfare facilities.

  • On the morning of February 15, an air alert was declared in Ukraine: the Russian military was attacking with missiles, in particular from Tu-95MS aircraft. There were hits in Zaporizhzhia, Lviv, and Poltava.
