Ukrainian army repels 18 Russian attacks in Avdiivka sector, reports 64 combat clashes
Over the day, 64 combat engagements took place at the frontline. Ukrainian forces repelled 54 Russian attacks in seven sectors, 18 of them in the Avdiivka direction

Russian attacks across Ukraine
Over the past day, Russia launched one missile and 40 air strikes, fired 72 times from multiple launch rocket systems at the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas. Unfortunately, Russian terrorist attacks resulted in civilian casualties. Multi-storey and private houses, as well as other infrastructure facilities, were destroyed and damaged.
Frontline situation
Near the state Ukrainian border with Russia and Belarus, the situation hasn't changed significantly, and no enemy offensive groups have been detected. Certain units of the Belarusian Armed Forces are performing tasks in the areas bordering Ukraine.
At the same time, the Russian army continued shelling the entire borderline with mortars and artillery: over 10 settlements across the Chernihiv, Sumy, and Kharkiv regions were attacked. .
In the Kupyansk sector, Ukrainian troops repelled 11 attacks near Sinkivka and Pishchane in Kharkiv region; Stelmakhivka in Luhansk region, where Russian enemy, with the support of aviation, tried to improve the tactical situation. About 10 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Sinkivka, Stepova Novoselivka, Berestove in Kharkiv region.
In the Lyman sector, Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled two attacks near Nevske, Luhansk region. More than 10 localities suffered from artillery and mortar shelling, including Makiivka, Nevske in Luhansk region; Terny, Yampolivka, Torske in Donetsk region.
In the Bakhmut sector, Ukrainian troops repelled 10 attacks near Verkhnekamianske, Vyymka, Spirne, Rozdolivka, Ivanivske, Novyi and Andriivka in Donetsk region, where Russian enemy, supported by air power, tried to improve the tactical situation. The enemy also launched an air strike near Druzhba, Donetsk region. More than 10 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire.
In the Avdiivka sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled 18 attacks in the areas of Oleksandropil, Novooleksandrivka, Progres, Yevhenivka, Novoselivka Persha, Umanske and Netaylove in Donetsk region, where Russian enemy, with the support of aviation, tried to force Ukrainian troops out of their positions. Russia also launched an air strike north-west of Ocheretyne, Donetsk region. About 20 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire.
In the Novopavlivka sector, the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to hold back the enemy in the areas of Krasnohorivka, Kostiantynivka, Vodiane and Urozhayne in Donetsk region, where Russian enemy, supported by aviation, tried to break through the defenses of Ukrainian troops seven times. The enemy also carried out an air strike near Paraskoviivka, Donetsk region. More than 10 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire.
In the Orikhiv sector, Russian enemy attacked the positions of Ukrainian defenders 4 times near Staromayorske, Donetsk region; Robotyne and north-west of Verbove, Zaporizhzhia region. Russia launched an air strike near Komyshuvakha, Zaporizhzhia region. About 20 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire.
In the Kherson sector, the Russian forces do not abandon their intention to push Ukrainian troops from their footholds on the left bank of the Dnipro River. Thus, during the day, with the support of aviation, Russia made 2 unsuccessful attacks on the positions of Ukrainian troops near the village of Krynky, Kherson region. The enemy also carried out air strikes near the settlements of Chervonyi Mayak, Ivanivka and Dniprovske in the Kherson region. About 20 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire.
Ukrainian strikes against Russian military positions
During the day, Ukrainian aviation and missile troops struck a 2S4 Tulip self-propelled mortar, a command post and 5 areas where enemy personnel were concentrated.
