Ukraine slams Putin's fabricated claims of troop encirclement in Kupiansk

It is noted that heavy fighting continues in and around Kupiansk, and the Russian forces are trying to gain a foothold in the northern part of the city. At the same time, any reports about the alleged encirclement of Ukrainian troops are "fiction and fantasy."

"If the Russian dictator Vladimir Putin were not a war criminal, one could express regret that in his old age he is once again forced to make a fool of himself and repeat the lies of his own generals, which not even his loyal audience and the Russian elites will be able to believe," the United Forces Group emphasized.

• As of October 13, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have achieved success in blocking Russian troops on the northwestern outskirts of Kupiansk and eliminating enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups in the city.
