Ukraine should prepare protest movements inside Russia and work on the consciousness of Russians today

Oleksandr Bolkin, Ukrainian Lieutenant Colonel, co-founder of the Free Idel-Ural public movement, expressed this opinion on Espreso TV.

"Today, a revolution in Russia is impossible from within. Protest movements in Russia should not be expected, they should be prepared. Everyone should work on this. This should have been started 10 years ago. There is no point in focusing on the Russian opposition and hoping that there will be some kind of civil war between Russians. There are no two or three ideas. Who should the civil war be between? The operations near Belgorod should not be exaggerated. There is a lot of talk about this in Ukraine and in Russia. But we cannot wait for something to happen in this country, we have to work here," he said.

There are some people in Russia with whom we can work today. We have to work on the consciousness of Russians, on provoking national liberation movements, says Bolkin.

"The Russian Federation is waging a propaganda campaign against Ukraine, and in its own country as well. We had to and must work to correct the consciousness of Russians, to provoke national liberation movements. There should be media projects, technical centers to support national movements, and round-the-clock broadcasting of information from the perspective of the civilized world of Ukraine. This is missing, as well as work with Ukrainians living in Russia. They need to be encouraged to resist. There are some people with whom we can work today. We need to prepare these protest movements inside Russia. These are long projects, hard work, but they must be implemented," he said.

Ukraine must prepare for the worst. We have to destroy the very threat to Ukraine's existence, says a representative of the Free Idel-Ural movement.

"Russia will definitely collapse, it's just a matter of time. Ukraine will win, I'm sure, but what will be the price of victory? The sooner Russia collapses, the lower the price will be, although it is already too high. The Russian Federation may collapse tomorrow, we don't know, but are we ready for it? Do we have people there, a concept of what to do there? How will we help our future allies or prepare these allies there in Russia? Do we have attractive models for these nations? We have to destroy the very threat of existence for Ukraine, this should be our state policy," he summarized.

  • Journalist Vitaly Portnikov believes that only destabilization of the situation in Moscow can shake the entire territory of the Russian Federation.
