Ukraine reports 83 frontline clashes, repels 20 Russian attacks in Pokrovsk sector

Since the beginning of May 14, 83 combat clashes have been recorded on the Russian-Ukrainian front. In the Pokrovsk sector, the Defense Forces repelled 20 enemy attacks

The Ukrainian Armed Forces’ General Staff reported the information.

"Today, communities in the settlements of Serhiivske in the Chernihiv region; Porozok, Slavhorod, Stepok, Dmytrivka, and Khliborob in the Sumy region were affected by enemy artillery and mortar fire," the General Staff noted.

Frontline situation

In the Kharkiv sector, Ukrainian units repelled a Russian attack in the area of Vovchansk, and another battle is currently ongoing.

In the Kupiansk sector, Ukrainian defenders are repelling an assault near Hlushkivka.

In the Lyman sector, the invading army carried out 16 attacks on the Ukrainian positions near Nova Kruzlyakivka, Lozova, Novoiehorivka, Hrekivka, Kolodiazi, Yampolivka, and in the direction of Hryhorivka during the day. Two of them are still ongoing.

Russian forces are looking for weak spots in Ukrainian defense near Bilohorivka in the Siversk sector. Two enemy attacks were successfully repelled.

In the Kramatorsk sector, the Russian troops tried seven times to advance on the Ukrainian positions in the area of Chasovyi Yar, Hryhorivka, Bila Hora, and Kurdiumivka. Two combat engagements are still ongoing.

In the Toretsk sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled 15 assault actions by the aggressor. The enemy tried to advance in the areas of Toretsk, Krymske, and Diliivka.

In the Pokrovsk sector, Russian invaders made 22 attempts to dislodge Ukrainian defenders from their positions in the areas of Stara Mykolaivka, Yelyzavetivka, Myroliubivka, Promin, Lysivka, Zviryove, Kotlyne, Udachne, Kotliarivka, and Andriivka. The Defense Forces are holding back the pressure and repelled 20 enemy attacks, with two more combat engagements still ongoing. Pokrovsk, Filiya, Zviryove, and Dachne were subjected to air strikes with guided aerial bombs.

In the Novopavlivka sector, the Russian army tried eight times to break through the Ukrainian defense in the areas of Bahatyr, Novopillia, and Vilne Pole. Four combat engagements are still ongoing. Novopillia was subjected to an air strike.

In the Huliaipole sector, Russia launched air strikes with unguided air missiles on Huliaipole and Vysoke.

In the Orikhiv sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled two enemy assaults in the area of Stepove.

In the Pridniprovskyi sector, the invaders tried once to advance to the positions of Ukrainian units but were repulsed.

In the Kursk sector, there have been three combat engagements since the beginning of the day, two of which are ongoing. In addition, Russia launched 4 air strikes, dropping three guided bombs, and carried out 140 artillery shellings.

In the remaining directions, there are no significant changes.

  • Over the past day, the Russian army lost at least 1,240 of its soldiers and hundreds of pieces of equipment on the Russian-Ukrainian front.
