Ukraine repels 11 Russian attacks in Bakhmut direction amidst 48 combat clashes over last day — General Staff

Russian attacks on Ukraine

Over the day, Russia launched 4 missile strikes, 77 air strikes,and 53 MLRS attacks at the positions of Ukrainian troops and settlements. Unfortunately, Russian terrorist attacks have resulted in civilian casualties and injuries. Multi-storey buildings and private houses were destroyed and damaged.

Frontline update

Near the state Ukrainian border with Russia and Belarus, the operational situation has not changed.

In the northeastern border area, the Russian army maintains a military presence in the border areas, conducts active sabotage activities to prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to threatened areas, and increases the density of minefields along the state border of Ukraine. In the Bakhmut direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 11 attacks near 4 settlements in the Donetsk region. Russian troops launched air strikes near 4 settlements, Donetsk region. Over 10 settlements came under Russian artillery and mortar fire.

In the Avdiivka direction, Ukrainian defenders thwarted 1 attack near Semenivka,Donetsk region, where Russian troops tried to drive Ukrainian units out of their positions. Russian troops launched air strikes near 3 settlements in the Donetsk region. More than 10 settlements were subjected to Russian artillery and mortar fire.

In the Novopavlivka direction, Ukrainian troops keep holding back the Russian army near 2 settlements in the Donetsk region. Despite 13 attempts, Russian forces, supported by aviation, were unable to alter the tactical situation. Russian troops launched air strikes near 3 settlements in the Donetsk region. Russian artillery and mortar fire targeted over 10 settlements, meanwhile air strikes affected 3 settlements.

In the Orikhiv direction, Russian troops attacked the positions of Ukrainian defenders near Robotyne, northwest of Verbove and north of Pryiutne, Zaporizhzhia region, 8 times with the support of aviation. They launched air strikes near 2 settlements. About 10 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire.

In the Kherson direction, Russian troops made 1 attack on the positions of Ukrainian soldiers on the left bank of the Dnipro River. Over 10 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire.

Strikes by Ukrainian Defense Forces on Russian positions

During the day, Ukrainian aviation struck 14 concentrations of Russian personnel, weapons and military equipment. Ukrainian air defense forces also destroyed one guided missile.

Ukrainian missile troops destroyed 4 Russian control centers, 4 air defense systems, 2 artillery systems and 1 ammunition depot.
