Ukraine is gradually withdrawing units from Vovcha River’s eastern bank — military expert Zgurets
Serhiy Zgurets, military expert and CEO of the Defense Express media and consulting company, noted that due to the threat of encirclement, Ukrainian soldiers have begun withdrawing from the risky area on the eastern bank of the Vovcha River, Donetsk region
He shared the information on Espreso TV.
“When we talk about the Hirnyk-Krasnohorivka area, we are referring to the Karlivka-Nevelske-Krasnohorivka triangle, where our units are stationed. After capturing Nevelske and advancing towards Krasnohorivka and west of Krasnohorivka, the enemy has visually surrounded our forces in this area,” noted Zgurets.
According to the expert, however, Russia’s potential is not sufficient to close these “pincers” quickly.
“We are now rationally and gradually withdrawing our units from this area located on the eastern bank of the Vovcha River. The threats were clear before, and I hope that the General Staff is also aware of them and understands the risks. However, I know that our units usually go out almost at the last moment,” emphasized Zgurets.
