The Russian propaganda agency INTERFAX.RU reported the information.

When asked to comment on the statement by U.S. President Donald Trump that the decision to transfer Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine has practically been made, the press secretary of the Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, Dmitry Peskov, stated: "We understand that we probably need to wait for clearer statements, if they follow."

He emphasized that in cases of arms supplies, the transfer happens first, "and then the statements are made."

"At least, that's how it has always been under the Biden administration, we know this well. This time, we'll see. As for Moscow's position, it was very unequivocally stated by Putin at the Valdai discussion club: everything was clearly stated there — this is a serious round of escalation, which at the same time will not be able to change the state of affairs on the fronts for the Kyiv regime," Peskov said.

Putin's press secretary noted that "we are talking about missiles, if we abstract from various nuances, which can also be nuclear-capable."

"Therefore, this is indeed a serious round of escalation," Peskov added.

Earlier, Clash Report released the video statement.

"I sort of made a decision pretty much," Trump said, responding to a journalist's question about whether he had approved the supply of Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine.

At the same time, the U.S. president added that before making a final decision, he would like to know exactly how these missiles would be used.

“I will ask some questions. I am not looking to see escalation,” Trump assured.

  • On September 29, U.S. presidential envoy to Ukraine, General Keith Kellogg, stated that American leader Donald Trump had authorized strikes on Russian territory using long-range weapons.
  • Later, Kellogg said there was no final decision yet on the possible transfer of Tomahawk cruise missiles to Ukraine, emphasizing that the issue was under consideration by President Donald Trump.
  • On October 5, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin threatened that supplying Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine would destroy relations between Moscow and Washington.
