Successful countermeasures drive Russia out of positions in Kharkiv region - Ukrainian officer
Volodymyr Chernyak, an officer with Ukraine's Rubizh Brigade, observed that Russia is currently conducting internal rotations in the Kharkiv sector to replenish its losses in both personnel and equipment
He shared the information on Espreso TV.
"In the Kharkiv region, the fighting is ongoing. However, in the area of responsibility of the 4th Rubizh Brigade, the enemy did not carry out active assault operations. Currently, the enemy is conducting internal rotations, replenishing the losses in personnel and equipment inflicted on it by Ukrainian defenders, including the servicemen of our brigade. The Russians are constantly conducting aerial reconnaissance and mining the adjacent territories," Chernyak said.
According to the officer with the Rubizh Brigade, the Ukrainian Defence Forces skilfully use the available resources and advantages of the Kharkiv region's landscape, which allows them to effectively repel Russian attacks and force them to go on the defensive.
"In particular, a few days ago, successful counter-attacks were carried out in the area where the brigade is stationed, which helped drive the enemy out of the positions it had previously seized. This demonstrates the strength and confidence of Ukrainian soldiers in this area," emphasised Chernyak.
- Over the last day, 153 combat clashes took place at the frontline. Russian troops are conducting offensive actions in 11 key sectors in an attempt to improve their tactical position. The Ukrainian Armed Forces are actively repelling enemy attacks.
- Roman Vlasenko, head of the Sieverodonetsk District Military Administration, noted that Russian forces are using rocket artillery and drones near Nevske, Stelmakhivka, Makiivka and Torske.
