Zelenskyy grants Hero City title to more Ukrainian communities
On Defenders Day, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed an order giving several communities the title of Hero City
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy wrote about this on Telegram.
“It is only right, on Pokrova, to also honor our communities in Ukraine that take on more in defense and resilience. I signed a decree that we will recognize Hero Cities — true Hero Cities. Cities thanks to which thousands of our people’s lives have been saved. Cities that stand in defense of our entire state — in every sense of the word,” said Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The list includes: Pavlohrad, Nikopol and Marhanets in the Dnipropetrovsk region; the cities of the Donetsk region — Druzhkivka, Kramatorsk, Kostiantynivka, Pokrovsk, Sloviansk; Huliaipole and Orikhiv in the Zaporizhzhia region; Voznesensk and Bashtanka in the Mykolaiv region; Sumy and Trostianets in the Sumy region; Kupiansk in the Kharkiv region; and Starokostiantyniv in the Khmelnytskyi region.
The president of Ukraine added: “I am proud of you! It is an honor to represent such a people and such brave cities.”
