Zelenskyy: Ukraine continues counteroffensive, develops strike capabilities on Russian territory
After a report from Ukrainian Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced plans to ramp up the country's drone and missile production
Zelenskyy wrote about this on Telegram.
According to him, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are demonstrating success in the use of long-range weapons.
"We have good results in our long-range capabilities. Ukraine is defending itself justly, and this is palpable on Russian territory," the president emphasized.
Zelenskyy also announced the preparation of a so-called Technological Headquarters, which will focus on the development of Ukrainian long-range capabilities — in particular, drone systems and missile weapons. He said that after communicating with manufacturers, he instructed the Defense Ministry and the military command to formulate concrete steps to expand production.
Oleksandr Syrskyi reported on the situation at the front, particularly in the areas of Pokrovsk, Dobropillia, and Kupiansk. According to data released by Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the total losses of Russian forces in the last period amounted to 3,185 people, of which about 1,800 were irreversible. Ukrainian forces liberated more than 174 sq. km of territory and cleared another 194 sq. km.
The president of Ukraine thanked the military for their effectiveness and stressed the continuation of counter-offensive actions.
On August 3, Oleksandr Syrskyi said that anti-sabotage reserves had been created and were being used in the Pokrovsk direction.
On September 26, Oleksandr Syrskyi reported that the Russians lacked the forces and means for a decisive offensive on the Dnipropetrovsk region.
