Combined night attack: Ukrainian air defense forces destroy 44 Russian drones

Thus, during the attack, which lasted from 7:00 p.m. on October 25, Russians launched various types of missiles, Shahed-type attack UAVs and drones of unspecified type at Ukraine.
Ukrainian Air Force radar troops detected and tracked 98 Russian air attack objects, including:
- 3 Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles (from the territory of Crimea);
- 2 Kh-59 guided missiles (from the airspace in the Bryansk region of the Russian Federation);
- 2 missiles of unspecified type (from the Belgorod region);
- 91 Russian UAVs (launch areas: Kursk, Orel).
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Air Force and Defense Forces.
As a result of the air battle, as of 12:00, 44 Russian Shaheds were confirmed to have been shot down in Kirovohrad, Sumy, Chernihiv, Kyiv, Cherkasy, Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi and Kursk regions.
One drone left the airspace in the direction of Belarus. 44 Russian drones were locally lost, and 1 more UAV was detected in Ukrainian airspace.
- On the evening of Friday, October 25, Russian forces launched Shahed drones and missiles to attack Ukraine. As a result of a UAV strike on a residential building in the capital, falling debris in the Kyiv region, and a missile attack on Dnipro, five people were killed, including two children.
