According to Suspilne, Roman Padun, head of the Kurakhove City Military Administration, shared this information.
"We still haven’t been able to inspect the dam. Water continues to rise below the Ternivska dam. I’ve been in contact with colleagues, and so far, there’s no critical situation or flooded houses," stated Padun.
According to him, Russian forces had been attempting to damage the dam for three months. Despite the damage, not all the water from the reservoir will drain out.
"The dam is built in such a way that the entire surface of the reservoir cannot be emptied. There is a critical water level that can drain, and a level that remains," Padun emphasized.
- On November 11, Russian forces have damaged the Kurakhove Reservoir dam, causing water levels to rise in villages along the Vovcha River.
