The German Chancellor said this during a joint briefing with Zelenskyy.
"By the end of the year, with the support of our partners - Belgium, Denmark, and Norway - we will deliver another package of €1.4 billion to Ukraine," Scholz said.
It is noted that a new aid package for Kyiv will be formed by the end of the year with the support of Belgium, Denmark, and Norway. It will include air defence systems, IRIS-T, Skynex anti-aircraft artillery system, Gepards, guided howitzers, self-propelled artillery systems, armoured vehicles, combat drones, radars and ammunition.
Scholz also noted that Ukraine has already received a new package worth €600 million, which includes the fifth IRIS-T SLM system, tanks, howitzers, ammunition and drones. According to the German chancellor, air defence assistance remains central to helping Ukraine.
Scholz also announced that in 2025, Germany will continue to support Ukraine, with €4 billion already budgeted for the country. This includes direct bilateral military assistance.
