Russia's goal is to cut off road connecting Kurakhove, Zaporizhzhia - military expert
Military expert Ivan Stupak says that the Russian army, having cut off the supply of Ukrainian troops in Kurakhove, is trying to force them to withdraw from the settlement
He shared his opinions with Espreso TV.
"The most difficult situation now is in Selydove and Pokrovsk, one of the most difficult areas today. Enemy infantry and assault groups are constantly coming in to take Selydove, and then Pokrovsk is opening up for them. In Toretsk, Russia is advancing through the streets of the city. Unfortunately, the Russians are capturing street after street, house after house. As for me, the situation in the south is unpleasant, I won't say critical, but there is a movement of heavy equipment of the Russian army without tactical markings in the direction of Berdyansk," the military expert noted.
According to him, last week, Russian troops managed to cross the border of Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions, near Huliaipole and Velyka Novosilka, about 1 km deep into the territory of Ukraine.
"You don't need to be a great analyst to open the DeepState map and see that the invader's next goal is to block the road connecting Kurakhove with the city of Zaporizhzhia. This is to make it impossible for our military to stay in and around Kurakhove and to force the Ukrainian command to withdraw from this settlement, so that the Russians could make a large-scale capture without making significant efforts. This is the most difficult thing we have right now," summarized Ivan Stupak.
- On October 14, the Ukrainian General Staff reported that 161 combat clashes took place on the Russian-Ukrainian front over the last day. Russia was active in the Kurakhove, Pokrovsk, and Kupyansk directions.
