Russian aviation launches 21 strikes in Kursk region, 161 combat clashes recorded at frontline

161 combat clashes took place on the Russian-Ukrainian front yesterday. Russian troops were active in the Kurakhove, Pokrovsk, and Kupyansk directions

Ukraine's General Staff reported the information.

"Over the last day, 161 combat clashes were recorded, with the enemy being most active in the Kurakhove direction," the statement reported.

According to updated information, Russian troops conducted 53 air strikes on Ukrainian positions and settlements yesterday, deploying 92 guided bombs. Additionally, they conducted more than 3,700 shellings, with 90 of those coming from multiple rocket launchers.

Seventeen settlements were struck by Russian air strikes.

Frontline update

In the Kharkiv direction, fighting continued near Starytsia.

In the Kupyansk direction, 19 firefights took place near Petropavlivka, Pishchane, Vyshneve, Kopanky and Lozova.

In the Lyman direction, according to the updated information, Russian forces attacked 19 times near Hrekivka, Druzheliubivka, Novosadove, Nevske, Terny and Torske.

In the Kramatorsk direction, three combat clashes took place near Chasiv Yar and Stupochky.

In the Toretsk direction, Russian troops attacked four times near Toretsk and Shcherbynivka.

In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 25 Russian troops' attacks near Sukhyi Yar, Lysivka, Promin and Selydove.

In the Kurakhove direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces fought off 39 Russian attacks near Zhelanne Druhe, Kreminna Balka, Izmailivka, Novoselydivka, Kurakhivka, Hirnyk, Maksymilianivka, Kostiantynivka and Katerynivka.

In the Vremivka direction, Russian troops attacked twice near Zolota Nyva.

In the Orikhiv direction, Russian forces unsuccessfully tried three times to push Ukrainian units near Robotyne and Mala Tokmachka.

In the Prydniprovskyi direction, the Ukrainian defenders beat back Russian attacks eight times.

The situation in the Huliaipole direction remained unchanged. 

On the border with Belarus, no signs of Russian offensive groups formation were detected. The operational situation remains largely unchanged.

On the border with Chernihiv and Sumy regions, the Russian army maintains a military presence, actively uses aviation from the territory of Russia, and shells border settlements.

Russian aircraft carried out 21 strikes in the Kursk region, dropping 31 guided bombs. 

  • Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the Russian army's losses have reached over 670,000 soldiers. Russia also lost 17,000 UAVs and almost 9,000 tanks.
