Russian troops set up full-fledged firing positions on ZNPP premises and roof - Enerhodar Mayor Orlov
Russian troops have turned Zaporizhzhia NPP, a nuclear facility, into a military base
This was reported by the mayor of Enerhodar, Dmytro Orlov.
He emphasizes that Russian forces are violating all nuclear safety standards at ZNPP.
According to information from open sources, including the personal pages on social networks of Russian soldiers themselves, the Russian military is constantly present at the plant, and they have deployed their military equipment and ammunition right on the territory of the nuclear power plant, inside the power units' halls, turning the nuclear facility into a military base, Orlov writes.
"All this is confirmed by numerous photos from social networks that the occupiers post, not even hiding their crimes," he added.
According to the mayor of Enerhodar, in addition, the Russian military has equipped full-fledged firing positions on the premises and the roof of the reactor compartments of the power units.
"Machine-gun emplacements in the reactor compartment, a lot of heavy weapons and man-portable air defense systems on the roof of the power units, armed Russian military on the territory of the plant - this is how the largest nuclear power plant in Ukraine and Europe looks like now," he said.
Orlov noted that all this is happening under the supervision and with the complicity of Rosatom, which is actively contributing to the war crimes of the Russian occupying forces.
- Ukraine's Intelligence units recorded the use of kamikaze drones by the Russian army over the nuclear reactors of the Zaporizhzhia NPP, and the Russian troops set up a launch pad near one of them.
