Russian troops ramp up activity near Pokrovsk – General Staff

In the last 24 hours, 96 combat clashes occurred on the Russian-Ukrainian front, with Russian forces most aggressively targeting Ukrainian positions near Pokrovsk

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine's report at 11:00 a.m. on June 9.

In the past day, the enemy launched 48 airstrikes on Ukrainian troops and populated areas using 59 guided aerial bombs, deployed 36 kamikaze drones, almost 1,280 FPV drones, and conducted about 4,000 attacks with various weapons, including 83 MLRS attacks.

Russian forces from Shebekino and Belgorod in the Russian Federation conducted airstrikes on Lyptsi, Starytsia, Vovchansk, Vesele, Staryi Saltiv, Stepova Novoselivka, Kupyansk, Novoyehorivka in the Kharkiv region. They also hit Serebrianka Forest in the Luhansk region, and Novooleksandrivka, Illinka, Vodyane, Sievierne, Novoselivka Persha in the Donetsk region.

Over the past day, the Air Force, missile forces, and artillery of the Defense Forces struck 21 personnel concentration areas, four air defense systems, and several other key enemy facilities.

Frontline situation 

The invaders started the day with 558 attacks on Ukrainian troops and populated areas, including a missile strike, seven airstrikes using 11 guided bombs, and deploying 35 kamikaze drones.

In the Kharkiv direction, Ukrainian forces repelled two attacks in the Vovchansk and Lyptsi areas, preventing any loss of positions.

In the Kupyansk direction, six assaults are underway in Petropavlivka, Pishchane, Berestove, and Nevske. The situation remains under control.

In the Lyman direction, three enemy attacks are ongoing in the Serebrianka Forest, with one skirmish repelled in the Terny area.

In the Siversk direction, fighting is occurring near Vyimka.

In the Kramatorsk direction, there have been four skirmishes near Ivanivske and Klishchiivka since the start of the day. One enemy attack was repelled, with three still in progress.

The enemy is particularly active in the Pokrovsk direction, making 14 attempts to dislodge Ukrainian defenders in Yevhenivka, Novooleksandrivka, Novopokrovsk, and Yasnobrodivka. Six of these attempts are ongoing. The situation is tense, but the Defense Forces are working to stabilize it.

In the Kurakhove direction, an enemy advance in Paraskoviivka failed. Two attacks continue in Krasnohorivka. The Defense Forces have the situation under control.

In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy's assault on Mala Tokmachka failed.

In the Kherson direction, an enemy attack was repelled near Krynky.

There were no active enemy offensives in other directions.

  • Yesterday, the Russian army lost at least 1,270 soldiers. Ukrainian defenders also destroyed dozens of enemy equipment units.
