Russian column assault fails in Orikhiv direction — Ukraine's 128th Brigade
Major Anna Dzundza, head of the communications department of the 128th Brigade, says that on April 16, the Rusian troops attacked the Orikhiv direction with a large column, but were defeated
She said this on the Espreso TV channel.
“The 128th Brigade has been in the Zaporizhzhia sector for quite some time, namely in Orikhiv. Previously, the Russian forces used the tactics of small assault groups, using buggies, motorcycles and armored vehicles to transport infantry. However, recently they decided to act differently,” noted Dzundza.
According to the head of the communications department of the 128th Brigade, the day before yesterday, April 16, the Russian troops decided to attack in a large group - a column that included tanks and other equipment.
“Our guys worked very hard and did not let the enemy through. Our reconnaissance men, UAV operators, artillerymen and, of course, infantry did a great job. The Russians suffered significant losses in both manpower and equipment,” emphasized Dzundza.
- Ukraine’s Armed Forces have liberated about 16 square kilometers in recent weeks in the area of the settlements of Udachne, Kotlyne, and Shevchenko in the Donetsk region. Overall, in the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian soldiers are repelling about 30 Russian attacks daily.
- Since the beginning of Thursday, April 17, 79 combat clashes have been recorded along the Russian-Ukrainian front, with the highest number of attacks carried out by the Russian troops in the Pokrovsk sector.
