Russian soldiers drown during training in Kherson region
Russian soldiers are dying en masse during military training exercises to cross water in Kherson region. Their commanders make no effort to save them
This was reported by the partisan movement Atesh.
According to an agent within the 80th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade of the Russian Armed Forces, recruits are being sent from a training camp in Crimea to Kherson for preparation ahead of assaults on the islands of the Dnipro River.
The training is conducted under extreme conditions—soldiers, fully equipped, are loaded onto a boat and sped across the Dnipro at full speed, causing many to fall overboard and drown. Commanders do not even attempt to rescue them.
The number of Russian soldiers who have died already reaches dozens, yet the exercises continue.
Atesh adds that after such "training," newly arrived troops are sent in small groups of two or three to storm the islands. They are simply dropped on the shore with orders to secure a position—without proper cover or evacuation plans.
"As a result, the missions are not completed, and they continue to suffer losses. While dispatching such groups, one commander said: 'Well, this batch will be finished soon, and the next one will arrive,'" the partisans reported.
- In the Kursk frontline sector, soldiers of Ukraine's Airborne Assault Forces, together with other units of the Armed Forces, captured five Russian troops.
