Russia spreads false claims Ukraine planning strikes on Kramatorsk

The Center for Countering Disinformation reported the information.

“Russian propaganda is creating another information alibi by spreading disinformation that Ukraine is supposedly preparing ‘a series of strikes on Kramatorsk’ in order to blame the Russian army,” the statement reads.

The Center for Countering Disinformation noted that this information is false. It is a typical tactic of Russian propaganda to justify its own war crimes and shift responsibility onto Ukraine.

“The Russian army itself is carrying out deliberate terrorist strikes on civilian targets in Ukraine while attempting to justify them as ‘Ukrainian provocations,’” the Center emphasized.

• On Thursday, July 31, the Russian army launched a strike on a five-story apartment building in Kramatorsk. Three people were killed, and ten others were injured.
