Oleksandr Vilkul, the head of the Kryvyi Rih Military Administration, said this on Espreso TV.

He clarified that as of the evening of 13 June, there were 9 killed and 37 wounded as a result of Russian shelling of the residential sector. Currently, 15 people are in hospitals, three of them in serious condition. Doctors are fighting for their lives.

According to Vilkul, the house that was hit by the missile cannot be restored, as it was a direct hit. Another 49 houses, two vocational education institutions and one school were damaged.

"More than 500 windows were damaged, 23 roofs need to be completely replaced. We have 19 teams of utility workers and volunteers working now. Unfortunately, we have already had more than 200 hits, including kamikaze drones and rockets. We have worked out where we can restore, there is a programme from the city budget, and we are paying people to restore. This is not the first time since the start of the full-scale war that 82 families have received money from the city budget to buy new apartments. We are currently examining another building with 36 apartments. This is a big programme, everyone is working," he added.

Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported the attack.

"Russian missile attack on Kryvyi Rih. At the moment, 11 people are wounded and 6 are dead. My condolences to the families and friends of the victims. All necessary services are working on the spot," he wrote.

He stressed the importance of bolstering the air defense system.

"Modern air defense systems can provide maximum protection for our people, cities, and positions. We need them as much as possible," stated Zelenskyy.

Later, Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko reported that 8 people were killed and at least 21 were injured, including two children. Another 4 people are missing. Russia launched a missile attack on a residential area.

  • Serhiy Zgurets, Defense Express CEO and military expert, stated that Ukraine currently has four air defense systems.
