Russian army tries to advance on Heorhiivka in Mariinka sector - Freedom Legion

Freedom Legion officer Serhiy Voronov says that the Russian troops are trying to develop offensive actions from the Marinka direction

He said this on Espreso TV.

"Russia is trying to move from the Marinka direction towards Heorhiivka and develop its offensive from there as a foothold. It hasn't been easy near Heorhiivka for a long time, but lately the Russian army has been putting pressure on it constantly. There are always attacks. The Russians are trying to advance towards Kurakhove. Obviously, this is one of the strategic directions where the enemy is trying to advance. Therefore, there is constant pressure in this direction," Voronov noted.

An officer of the Legion of Freedom named the hottest spots in the area today.

"The Russian army is traditionally putting pressure on Ukrainian settlements such as Pervomaiske. This is one of the hottest areas of the frontline. The situation near Novomykhailivka is equally hot today. Russia is also pressing south of Krasnohorivka. These are the hottest localities in our sector," he added.

• On March 25, the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ General Staff reported that in the Novopavlivka sector, the Defense Forces are holding back the Russian army in the areas of Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Novomykhailivka, and Urozhaine, where the enemy, with the support of aviation, tried to break through the defense 25 times.
