Ukrainian Defense Forces eliminate 11 tanks, 22 artillery systems and 640 Russian soldiers per day - General Staff

Over the last day, 60 clashes took place in the frontline, Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled 10 hostile attacks in the Avdiivka direction eliminating 640 Russian soldiers

The total combat losses of the Russian Federation from 24.02.22 to 25.03.24 are approximately:

  • artillery systems - 10,877 (+22) 
  • MLRS - 1,018 (+0) 
  • air defense systems - 726 (+3)

  • UAVs of operational and tactical level - 8,539 (+29) 
  • cruise missiles - 2,010 (+18) 
  • ships/boats - 26 (+0) 
  • submarines - 1 (+0) 
  • motor vehicles and tank trucks - 14,454 (+47) 
  • special equipment - 1,785 (+7).
 

Russia's shelling of Ukraine

Over the past day, the Russian forces launched 33 missile strikes, 70 air strikes, fired 91 times from multiple launch rocket systems at Ukrainian troops' positions and populated areas. Unfortunately, Russian terrorist attacks have resulted in civilian casualties and injuries.

At night, the Russian occupiers attacked Ukraine once again, using Shahed UAVs and various types of cruise missiles. Data on this attack is being clarified.

2 settlements in Sumy region; 3 settlements in Kharkiv region; Serebryanske forestry, Bilohorivka in Luhansk region; 13 settlements in Donetsk region; 1 settlement in Zaporizhzhia region were hit by air strikes.

About 100 settlements in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Kherson, and Mykolaiv regions were under artillery fire.

Situation on the main frontlines

 The operational situation has not changed in the area of the northern Ukrainian border with Belarus.

In the northeastern border area, the Russian army conducts active sabotage activities to prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to threatened areas.

In the Kupyansk direction, Ukrainian Defense Forces defeated a Russian attack near the town of Synkivka in the Kharkiv region.

In the Lyman direction , Ukrainian troops fought off eight Russian attacks near the towns of Bilohorivka in Luhansk region and Yampolivka and Vesele in Donetsk region. The Russian troops, supported by air power, tried to break through Ukrainian troops' defenses.

In the Bakhmut direction , Ukrainian soldiers countered 8 Russian attacks in the vicinity of Bohdanivka, Klishchiivka and Andriivka in Donetsk region.

In the Avdiivka direction, Ukrainian defenders beat back 10 Russian attacks near Berdychi and Pervomaiske in the Donetsk region.

In the Novopavlivka direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to hold back the Russian forces near Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Novomykhailivka and Urozhaine. The Russian military, supported by air power, tried to break through the Ukrainian troops' defense 25 times.

In the Orikhiv direction , the Russian military attacked Ukrainian positions 3 times with the support of aviation near Staromayorske, Donetsk region, and Robotyne, Zaporizhzhia region.

In the Kherson direction, the Russian forces keep trying to drive Ukrainian troops out of their footholds on the left bank of the Dnipro River. Over the past day, the Russian troops made an unsuccessful attack on Ukrainian positions.

Ukrainian Defense Forces strikes at Russian positions

Over the past day, Ukrainian aviation struck 8 areas where Russian military personnel, weapons and military equipment were concentrated.

Ukrainian missile units destroyed 2 air defense systems, 3 artillery units and 1 electronic warfare station. 

  • Over the course of March 23, 75 clashes took place at the frontline. Ukrainian soldiers repelled a number of Russian attacks in six areas eliminating another 990 Russian troops.
