Russian army steps up attacks in Orikhiv sector — Ukraine's General Staff

Over the last day, 102 combat engagements took place on the frontline. Russian troops continue to attack in several areas, in particular, the situation is aggravated in the Pokrovsk sector

The total number of attacks by Russian forces on the positions of Ukrainian troops along the entire frontline since the beginning of the day has already reached 102. Ukrainian soldiers continue to hold the line and destroy the enemy's offensive potential.

Four combat engagements took place in the Kharkiv sector. Fighting continues in the area of Vovchansk. Invading Russian troops are conducting air strikes in the north of Kharkiv region using guided aerial bombs. So far, the enemy has already launched at least 10 strikes with guided bombs from Belgorod and Shebekino (Russia).

In the Kupyansk sector, Russian troops tried to break through Ukrainian defenses 15 times. Two of these combat engagements are still ongoing.

In the Siversk sector, the number of Russian assault attacks has increased to 21 since the beginning of the day. 10 of them are still ongoing in the areas of Bilohorivka and Verkhniokamianske.

There are currently 11 battles in the Pokrovsk sector. The total number of combat clashes increased to 35 today. The enemy's irreversible losses in the sector amounted to almost 290 people killed and wounded, four armored combat vehicles, four artillery systems and six vehicles were destroyed. Two armored personnel carriers, one artillery system and one vehicle were damaged. The enemy is using glide bombs in the area. They are also bombing Kostyantynivka and Mykhailivka in the Kurakhove sector and Zolota Nyva in the Vremiivka sector.

In addition, the Russian army began to act more actively in the Orikhiv sector, in particular in the area of Mala Tokmachka. The enemy attacked there seven times during the day.

The situation in other sectors did not change significantly.

According to updated information, over the past day, Russia launched a total of 4 missile attacks, 39 air strikes using 63 glide bombs, and over 2,500 attacks from various types of weapons, including 89 using multiple launch rocket systems. Unfortunately, Russian terrorist attacks have resulted in civilian casualties and injuries. Multi-storey and private buildings, as well as other infrastructure facilities, were destroyed and damaged.

The Russian army carried out air strikes near 10 settlements in Kharkiv region and on the city of Kharkiv from the airspace of the Russian Federation (from Belgorod region); Lyman, Kostiantynivka, Druzhba, Progress, Yevhenivka, Karlivka, Oleksandropil, Kurakhove in Donetsk region; Nove Zaporizhzhia, Pyatikhatky in Zaporizhzhia region.

At the same time, over the past day, the Air Force, missile forces and artillery of the Defense Forces hit 17 areas of Russian troops concentration and several other important objects, including two command posts and two air defense facilities
