Russian army partially changes tactics in Pokrovsk sector - Ukraine's Kara-Dag Brigade
Major Vitalii Milovidov, spokesman for the 15th Kara-Dag Operational Brigade, says that Russian forces have moved artillery systems closer to the contact line
He shared the information on Espreso TV.
"The situation in the Pokrovsk sector remains tense. The 15th Kara-Dag Brigade is stationed in the direction of the town of Selydove and holds the defense lines. The situation is under stable control, but tense. Russia keeps trying to attack our positions by conducting breakthroughs with small groups of infantry, but they are timely destroyed on the outskirts," emphasized Milovidov.
According to the spokesman, Russia's use of armored vehicles has been increasing in recent days. There have been cases of using tanks, MT-LBs, and infantry fighting vehicles.
"It was most likely reconnaissance by combat. Counter-battery combat has intensified significantly. The enemy has pulled artillery systems closer to the combat line and is using more FPV drones," Milovidov noted.
He added that the Russian army had partially changed its tactics after trying to actively advance on a wide front and being stopped in early September. The line was stabilized by the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
"The Russians have partially moved their reserves to more important areas. The situation in the direction of Selydove is more or less stable, while the situation in Vuhledar is more complicated. The enemy has reduced the number of manpower and is trying to advance in the most important areas. This indicates that the enemy is purposefully redeploying reserves to certain areas of the frontline, but at the same time the enemy is not giving up trying to put pressure in other areas," Milovidov summarized.
