Russia won't break through Pokrovsk line — Ukraine's 14th Brigade
Lieutenant Colonel Mykola Koval, head of the press service for Ukraine's 14th Assault Brigade of the National Guard "Chervona Kalyna," says that in the Pokrovsk sector, Russian troops are trying to attack Ukrainian positions using small assault groups
He shared the information on Espreso TV.
"The Russians in the Pokrovsk sector are not currently building up their forces for a major attack like the one our brigade repelled earlier. However, they have started using more armored vehicles. In the past day, Russian infantry has been on the move, and small assault groups tried to attack our positions," Koval said.
According to him, despite heavy losses, Russian forces still have enough strength to keep attacking.
"We are also building up our forces to stop and destroy them before they reach our positions. Our goal is to make sure they can't advance or break through our defense line. As for the idea of them reaching the road and holding it — that's not going to happen. The Russian invaders will fail," Koval stressed.
- On May 8, 193 combat clashes were recorded on the Russian-Ukrainian front. In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian defenders stopped 71 Russian assaults.
