
Russia strikes Kryvyi Rih with ballistic missile, injuring 8 people
On March 29, the Russian army fired a ballistic missile at Kryvyi Rih injuring at least 8 people and damaging infrastructure
The head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration Serhiy Lysak reports.
At 11:34 a.m., he wrote that explosions were heard in the city. Later, Lysak informed that the Russians had attacked the Dnipropetrovsk region again. Kryvyi Rih came under a missile attack.
“Preliminary, there are casualties. There was a fire, infrastructure was damaged. We are checking all the information,” said the head of the regional military administration.
Oleksandr Vilkul, head of the Kryvyi Rih Regional Military Administration, also noted: “Kryvyi Rih. Missile attack. Ballistics. We are not filming or posting anything on the Internet. There may be other ways out. Take care of yourself.”
Earlier, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine informed about the threat of ballistic missile attack from the southeast. A few minutes later, the military spotted a high-speed target heading for Kryvyi Rih.
As of 12:11, Lysak informed that there are already 5 casualties in Kryvyi Rih. All of them are in moderate condition. Multi-storey buildings and private houses, a school, and a car wash were damaged.
At 12:45, Oleksandr Vilkul said that the number of casualties had increased to six.
According to the State Emergency Service, as of 12:53 a.m., 7 people were preliminarily wounded in a missile attack on the city of Kryvyi Rih. As a result of the attack, a car caught fire, which rescuers quickly extinguished. Multi-storey residential buildings, a shop, a car wash and an infrastructure facility were damaged. More than 20 cars were smashed.
Lysak also confirmed that the number of victims has increased to seven. Three of them are hospitalized. The patients have bruises, shrapnel wounds, and cut wounds. Doctors assess their condition as moderate. They are receiving the necessary medical care.
As of 2:47 p.m., eight people were reported injured in Kryvyi Rih. Three remain in the hospital, the rest are undergoing outpatient treatment.
