
Russia strikes Kherson, injuring 9 civilians, including teen
On April 16, the occupying Russian army launched a combined attack on Kherson, injuring nine people, including a teenager and local official
This was reported by the head of the Kherson City Military Administration, Roman Mrochko.
“It has become known that two more people were injured as a result of the Russia’s combined attack on the central district. A 20-year-old woman sustained a concussion and a blast injury. She sought medical help on her own, received the necessary treatment, and will continue recovery as an outpatient,” he wrote.
According to him, a 15-year-old teenager came to the hospital with his parents. He suffered a blast injury and a contusion of the left forearm.
“This brings the number of injured to nine,” Mrochko added.
Earlier in the morning, Mrochko had reported coming under enemy fire himself in the Tavriyskyi district of Kherson.
Russian forces also struck the city’s central district with four guided aerial bombs. Due to the bombardment, a 61-year-old man suffered a blast injury and shrapnel wounds to his leg. In the Tavriyskyi district, two other people were wounded.
"The Russian army is currently preventing a full-scale response to eliminate the consequences of this attack," Mrochko stated.
At 08:44, the head of Kherson regional military administration Oleksandr Prokudin reported that one person was killed in the central district. The middle-aged man is being identified.
