Russian army storms Pokrovsk direction 21 times, situation is tense - General Staff

This is stated in the evening report of the Ukrainian General Staff.

Since the beginning of the day, 66 combat engagements took place on the frontline of the Russian-Ukrainian war. The highest intensity remains in the Pokrovsk and Kharkiv sectors. Russia is also concentrating its attacks near Chasiv Yar. Ukrainian soldiers are preventing the Russian occupants' offensive attempts and inflicting significant losses on them.

The number of combat engagements in the Kharkiv sector increased to 10. Four battles are ongoing. The situation is under control, and Ukrainian troops are strengthening their defence. The enemy has already used 17 guided aerial bombs. In particular, Vovchansk, Lyptsi and Staryi Saltiv were hit by new attacks with UAVs.

In the Kupyansk sector, Russian invaders tried to break into our defensive lines seven times with air support, attacking near Petropavlivka, Stepova Novoselivka, Berestove, Hrekivka, Druzheliubivka, Nevske and near Myasozharivka. They attacked Ozerne, Kupyansk, and Petropavlivka with multiple rocket launchers.

Three Russian assaults took place in the Lyman sector. Here, the aggressor attacked near Terny. Ukrainian troops are acting actively and giving a worthy response.

Five more attacks by Russian troops were repelled in the Siversk sector. Three enemy attacks were stopped near Vyimka. Another one took place near Verkhniokamianske and in the vicinity of Spirne, where the aggressor attacked with the support of aviation.

The enemy has already carried out five assault operations in the Novyi area near Chasiv Yar since the beginning of the day. Another attack was conducted on Klishchiivka and Ivanivske. In total, Ukrainian defenders repelled seven attacks in the Kramatorsk sector. Tarasivka and Druzhba came under air strikes.

In the Pokrovsk sector, the number of hostile attacks has increased to 21 since the beginning of the day. Russians are attacking near Novooleksandrivka, Kalynove, Sokol, Umanske, Novoselivka Persha and Netaylove. The situation is tense. The settlements of Sokol and Zhelene were hit by enemy aircraft.

In the Kurakhove sector, Ukrainian troops prevented eight enemy attacks. The situation is under control.

In the Vremivka sector, the Russian forces have already made five offensive attempts - in addition to Staromaiorsk, also in the direction of Urozhayne village. The aggressor attacked Piatykhatky from the air.

In the Orikhiv sector, Russian enemy conducted one unsuccessful attack near Robotyne.

In the Prydniprovskyi sector, near Krynky and other left-bank footholds, four enemy attacks were repelled.

Ukrainian troops are depleting the enemy along the entire frontline. All necessary measures are being taken to strengthen the defence and decisions are being made promptly.
