Interfax Ukraine reports.

"Dnipropetrovsk region – this is the Novopavlivka direction, where the administrative borders of three regions meet: Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk, and Dnipropetrovsk. The enemy is trying to advance deeper into the territory using 'death by a thousand cuts' tactics. Their only goal is to declare their presence, to plant their flag in some building in a settlement," Syrskyi said.

He clarified that the situation there is dynamic.

"The territories are large, troop densities are insufficient. Both on our side and theirs. There are more of them (Russians) there. But they lack the forces and means to conduct any decisive offensive," the commander-in-chief emphasized.

He explained that the Russians moved marine units from the Sumy direction to Novopavlivka to break through Ukrainian defenses and make a push into either Zaporizhzhia or Dnipropetrovsk regions.

"But through active operations, we disrupted the enemy's attempted offensive on the Novopavlivka direction. All Russian marines are now bogged down in fighting on the Dobropillia direction," Syrskyi added.

  • On September 25, 200 combat clashes were recorded on the Russia–Ukraine front. In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 67 assault attempts.
  • Fierce battles are ongoing for the villages of Yalta and Zaporizhzhia in the Donetsk region, where Russian troops are using small infantry groups to break through Ukrainian defenses.
