Russian forces attempt to seize two key villages on Donetsk front — Ukraine’s 37th Brigade

Denys Bobkov, senior communications officer of the 37th Marine Brigade, shared the information on Espreso TV.

“In the operational area of the 37th Marine Brigade along the Novopavlivka direction, the Russians are deploying significant infantry forces. Russian occupiers are using large numbers of personnel and constantly attempting to infiltrate between the battle formations of our units and neighboring troops,” Bobkov said.

According to him, Russian forces employ small infantry groups, usually 2–3 soldiers. On foot, without using vehicles, they try to sneak in from the flanks to reach the rear, then secure positions in houses or forested areas.

“This tactic is not new for this direction; it has been used for over six months. We know how to counter it. Currently, the Russians continue active attempts to capture the villages of Yalta and Zaporizhzhia in Donetsk region. Heavy fighting for these settlements is ongoing,” Bobkov emphasized.

• On September 25 alone, 200 combat engagements were recorded on the Russian-Ukrainian front. In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 67 Russian assault attempts.
