Russian army drops 36 glide bombs in Kharkiv sector over day
During the day, the Russian occupation forces dropped 36 guided aerial bombs in the Kharkiv sector and carried out 20 air strikes on the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
This was reported by the spokesman of the Kharkiv Operational-tactical grouping of troops Yuriy Povkh during the telethon.
"Over the past day, the enemy launched 20 air strikes on our positions using 36 guided aerial bombs. This trend has been going on for several days. Our military has developed a defense system against the bombs, but I will not disclose these secrets. These developments are being used, but, unfortunately, we do not have parity in the air at the moment," he said.
At the same time, Povkh stressed that the Ukrainian Defense Forces are inflicting losses on Russian army and effectively resisting the occupiers' attempts to change the operational situation in the Kharkiv sector in their favor.
"Over the past day, the enemy lost 2 armored combat vehicles, 7 artillery systems, 4 vehicles, 3 units of special equipment and 27 UAVs in our sector. Our artillery destroyed 58 enemy hideouts, one ammunition storage point and one UAV launch pad," said the spokesman.
- On July 12, Yuriy Fedorenko, commander of the Achilles UAV battalion of the 92nd Separate Assault Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, said that the Defense Forces were seizing the tactical initiative in the Kharkiv sector step by step.
