Russia drops over 10,000 guided aerial bombs on Ukraine in three months
In the first three months of 2025, the Russian army dropped 10,577 guided aerial bombs on Ukraine, accounting for a quarter of the total number used in last year

The Ministry of Defense reported this on April 1.
"Amid negotiations on a ceasefire, the number of combat engagements on the front increased in March compared to February—4,270 versus 3,274. Since the beginning of the year, there have been 12,631 clashes," the statement reads.
The ministry also highlighted the intensified airstrikes on Ukrainian settlements and Defense Forces positions.
"In March, Russian aviation increased the use of guided bombs—around 4,800 compared to 3,370 in February," the Ministry of Defense reported.
Overall, in the first three months of 2025, Russian tactical aviation dropped 10,577 guided bombs.
For comparison, in 2024, Russia used approximately 40,000 guided aerial bombs against Ukraine.
- On the night of March 20, Russian forces dropped 31 glide bombs at Kupyansk, resulting in two fatalities and four injuries. The town center was almost destroyed.
