Local residents about the Russian attack on Sviatoshynskyi district

“There was an explosion around 6 am. I got up, looked, and saw nothing. After 10 minutes, another Shahed flew over our house,” Dmytro recalls the events of this morning.

Tamara, who lives near the 16-storey building that was hit by the fragments of a Russian drone, also woke up to loud noises in the morning.

“There was a big explosion. We realized it was somewhere nearby. But we could not think that it was in this building. The house outside protected us a little bit. That's why our house was fortunately not damaged this time,” the woman said.

Consequences of the Russian attack on Kyiv region

At 10:59 a.m., Ruslan Kravchenko, head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, said that an 82-year-old woman was injured in an air attack on the Kyiv region.

“The victim was taken to a district hospital with head wounds and a hypertensive crisis. Her condition is satisfactory. She is receiving all the necessary medical care,” said Kravchenko.

He also added that operational services are recording damage to residential buildings as a result of falling debris from downed Russian targets.

As of 11:20 a.m., six private houses, two outbuildings and a car wash were damaged in several districts of the Kyiv region, the National Police of Ukraine reported.

“The damage is minor - windows and doors were smashed, facades and roofs were damaged,” Kravchenko added.

In addition, according to him, a power line was damaged.

“As of now, 1860 consumers in one of the region's settlements are without electricity,” said the head of Kyiv Regional Military Administration.

Also, a combine harvester burned down in a private household as a result of falling debris from the downed targets.

There are wounded in Sumy

At around 8 p.m., an explosion occurred in Sumy. The city council reported 5 victims, all of whom were hospitalized. Among the wounded is a pregnant woman.

At 10:17 p.m., they reported the launch of KABs on the city. At 11:13 p.m., the air force reported more KABs in the region.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy's reaction

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy reacted to the Russian drone attack. He emphasized that constant terrorist attacks on Ukrainian cities prove that the pressure on Russia and its accomplices is not enough.

“I am grateful to our defenders of the sky who shoot down Shaheds every night. This year, almost every night, sometimes in the morning and during the day, there is a threat of Shahed drones. These are the attack drones given to Russia by Iran, which have become one of the main tools of Russian terror against Ukraine. We need to put more pressure on Russia's ability to produce such weapons. We need to be able to destroy the storage bases of Shaheds and the entire infrastructure of their production and logistics. Terrorists, unfortunately, know how to use the time given to them by the indecision of the free world,” Zelenskyy said.
