Explosions in Kyiv: air defense system in operation

At about 1:40 a.m., the first explosions were heard, reports Suspilne. In 6 minutes, the regional military administration reported

At 2:27 a.m., explosions were heard as the Kyiv City Military Administration reported air defense operations. Additional strikes occurred at 4:23 a.m. and 5:20 a.m. At 5:40 a.m., more explosions were reported, and Mayor Klitschko confirmed air defense activity in the Obolon district.

By 6:03 a.m., new explosions were heard, and at 6:14 a.m., Klitschko announced emergency services were called to a fire in a residential building in the Pechersk district, caused by falling debris. A gas pipe was damaged, and Kyivgaz, the regional gas company, responded to the scene.

Preliminary reports indicated no casualties, though debris fell on a kindergarten and damaged around 20 cars. At 7:07 a.m., new explosions were heard. The military administration later reported a child had been hospitalized with cut wounds, though later clarified the injuries were unrelated to the UAV attack.

The air defense forces successfully neutralized around a dozen Russian attack drones, with combat operations lasting five hours over Kyiv and its suburbs.

Attack on Zaporizhzhia

According to the head of the Regional Military Administration, Russian troops hit residential buildings and the territory of an industrial enterprise.

Seven people were injured: four women, two men and a 14-year-old boy.

“Private and apartment buildings were damaged,” wrote Fedorov.

Later he reported that the number of victims had increased to 8.

“Two wounded during the night attack are in hospital. A man is in serious condition, a woman is in moderate condition,” he said.

Mykolaiv region

Russian troops attacked an energy infrastructure facility in the region, the Regional Military Administration reported.

“There are disconnections of customers. Most of them have already been repaired by power engineers, and work continues. There are no casualties,” the statement said.

Odesa region

At night, Russia attacked with missiles and drones.

“A 62-year-old woman died as a result of a missile attack on the Odesa district. Buildings and cars were damaged. Dry grass also caught fire, and rescuers quickly extinguished the fire,” wrote the head of Regional Military Administration.

In the morning, another drone attack occurred, but there were no casualties or significant damage to infrastructure.

Explosions in western Ukraine: Ivano-Frankivsk faces partial blackout

At 1:32 a.m., explosions were heard in the Khmelnytskyi region, Suspilne reports. At 2:04 a.m., repeated explosions were heard. An hour later, explosions were heard for the third time.

In the morning, the Regional Military Administration reported that air defense in Khmelnytskyi region shot down three Shahed drones.

“As of this hour, there are no casualties or destruction,” wrote the head of the Khmelnytskyi Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Tiurin.

The sounds of explosions were heard again in Khmelnytskyi region at 7:45 a.m.

Suspilne: At 3:59 a.m., explosions were heard in Ivano-Frankivsk. In 5 minutes, repeated explosions were heard in the city.  The mayor Martsinkiv said that air defense was operating in the city.

At 5:36 a.m. he recorded a video message: “Our air defense worked at night. I am grateful to our defenders. The most important thing is that there were no casualties.”

According to the mayor, Russian troops targeted civilian infrastructure. The competent authorities will speak in more detail.

Svitlana Onyshchuk, head of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Military Administration, said that a critical infrastructure facility was damaged in the regional center.

“Part of the city is partially without power. Power engineers are already working to restore power supply. All the relevant services were promptly sent to the scene to eliminate the consequences. The fire that broke out at the crash site has been extinguished. Fortunately, there were no casualties,” she wrote.
