This was reported by the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleh Kiper.

He noted that the Russia launched two guided missiles at Odesa from the Black Sea: they were shot down by the Air Defence Forces. However, debris fell in some parts of the city. It is also known that a 15-year-old child was injured and hospitalised.

"Be careful, if you find dangerous objects, do not try to move them yourself. Call the emergency services, they will help you expertly," Kiper said.

He later clarified that the number of victims had increased to three: they were hospitalised.

"Two of them are children aged 15 and 10. They were injured as a result of falling debris. All the injuries are minor, fortunately, there is no threat to life," wrote the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration.

Ilya Yevlash, spokesman for the Ukrainian Air Force Command, spoke about the details of the Russian attack on Espreso.

"It is known that the enemy attacked Odesa with its missiles. It is likely that these missiles were launched from MiG aircraft, but it is unclear what type of missiles are installed. Our air defence systems were working, we are waiting for clarification, later we will be able to say more," he said.

Later, the Ukrainian Air Force reported the destruction of two Russian Kh-59 missiles. They were shot down by the forces and means of the Odesa anti-aircraft missile brigade.

  • Natalia Humeniuk, head of the Joint Coordination Press Centre of the Southern Ukrainian Defence Forces, said that Russian ballistic missiles could reach Odesa from Crimea in one minute. According to her, Odesa residents have begun to respond more attentively to air threat alerts.
