The head of Berdiansk city military administration Victoria Halitsina and the mayor's advisor Petro Andriushchenko informed about it.

According to Andriushchenko, smoke is rising from the area of the commandant's office and from the direction of Prymorska Square.

Later, another explosion was heard in the center, after which an air alert was declared by the occupying Russian forces.

In addition, according to an adviser to the mayor of the temporarily occupied Mariupol, explosions were heard in the city in Donetsk region in the morning. The Russians activated the air defense there.

"Mariupol. Loud. We are monitoring the work of enemy air defense. And again, the air defense is right next to residential buildings.

Oh, the Russians shouldn't have stirred up the whole country in the morning. Berdiansk. Now Mariupol. And it's only morning ;)," Andriushchenko wrote.

Later he added about another explosion in Kalmius district of Mariupol. A fire broke out in the industrial area.

Later, Andriushchenko wrote that in occupied Mariupol, a Russian barracks at the Illich Iron and Steel Works was hit: "The consequences of explosion in Mariupol. Preliminary, a hit to the occupiers' barracks at the Illich Iron and Steel Works near the 3rd Depot. It is quite possible that it was hit by the fragments of their own air defense system."

According to him, after that, the Russians began to massively move manpower and equipment to the Prymorskyi district of Mariupol.

In Berdiansk, however, the first strike was on the port of Berdiansk, which the Russians use as a military base.

  • The same morning, Russia launched Kinzhal and cruise missiles at Ukraine. Air defense was operating in a number of regions. There was damage in the Chernihiv and Poltava region.
